Keyword library?

Hello.

 

Has anyone got, or can recommend a good keyword library to prevent students searching for specific words?

 

Our web filter works great ata blocking URLs but students can easily circumvent this by searching for keywords in google images. I believe our web filter is able to block based on words which have been searched for, so if anyone has an up-to-date list I would appreciate it being shared with me.

Don't know what web filtering solution you have, but at the least you should be able to enable Google Safe Search via DNS Redirection (https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/227986807-How-to-Enforcing-Google-SafeSearch-YouTube-and-Bing) - can also be done via HTTP Header injection too.

 

This 'should' stop inappropriate results / images / videos loading within Google results* (as categorised by Google) that may not appear within filtering reports, or get blocked by your web-filter as technically the user hasn't clicked on/visited the denied website(s) in question.

 

Additionally, you'll have to enable HTTPS filtering too, to allow your web-filter to see what is being searched for.
