We are currently having an issue that when we rebuild our machines and a network user logs on. They can no longer see the all programs in the start menu.

We deploy our all programs like this.

1. PC Startupp - Copy all programs from svr to C:

2. User logon - Copy all programs from C: to "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"

We do not use folder redirection for start menu as we place the shortcuts in the microsoft default above.

As this is a network setting and not pc I am unsure why the programs are not showing.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

you say you not redirecting the start menu, but are you redirecting appdata?

If so %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs is where the apps will get pulled from

Found the issues.

The reg keys were old and not being replaced with the new start menu locations here 'HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders'
