jimmy_2k Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Anyone using them at their school and what do they think? I've asked around locally and the feedback wasn't great. Also is anyone using any other brand of padlock which can be opened by a MiFare chip/ID Card?
Jawloms Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) We use them here. We bought nine, three of them failed within about a month. All replaced under warranty, but it seems to take a very long time to do it. Also, they aren't hardened steel. The ones we've had to cut off, we got through in about two minutes with a junior hacksaw we borrowed from DT. On the upside, all of our gates remain locked at all times and if we have a fire then any member of staff can open the gates to allow the kids passage to our gathering point. The door handles I can't speak highly enough of. They're brilliant. Stuart Edited November 12, 2018 by Jawloms
jimmy_2k Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 How long have you had the ones which are still working? Are they outside or inside?
Jawloms Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 We've had them all about six months, and they are all outside. I've ordered all of my Salto stuff through AC Leigh. They've been good.
