I've been trying to import the XML file generated from an online application form directly into SIMS. I've looked through Capita's examples and documentation to make sure our tags match what they're looking for but nothing is importing. It's saying "The selected XML file is not meant for this school."

This seems to be because of the tag. That's definitely our SIMS number, it's in SIMS under Help > System Information

This is the dummy data I'm trying to import via Routines > Admission > Import Applications

Application Import File1.02012-08-23T21:18:177036036

and the error:

Date: 12/11/2018 13:08:36File: N:\test.xmlThe file cannot be imported because of the following errors:The selected XML file is not meant for this school.

Any advice or pointers are very welcome

Try swapping the school and la identifier around, i tried logging a call with capita about this issue and was told it wasn’t supported then our registrar went on a course and was told about the different format

I still need to get back to getting this setup, I quickly ran into another issue with the xml and haven’t found time to get back to it since

Interesting, we're based in Saudi Arabia so not sure we have a LA registered with SIMS. I'll give Capita a call to see if they have any other numbers registered for us though just in case

Just realised I misunderstood your initial reply, the flipped code works!

Thanks Jamman. I never would have thought to try that

Should be fairly straight forward now to get the XML tags to match the SIMS one now...
