DalekSec Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Wonder if anyone has any of these lying around they don't need anymore! Our ruckus support has run out and our current config doesn't support higher than these (that i'm aware of!), not looking to renew ruckus and move over to UniFi instead, but had a few APs die recently so need some to tie us over till the switch over! Thanks Dalek

Thanks DalekJust a thought I think those aps have lifetime warranty so may be worth contacting ruckus. I know there's no sla on return time.but might be worth a shot. 1

dhicks Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Wonder if anyone has any of these lying around they don't need anymore! We bought a few spare from Amazon / eBay to extend our original set - you can generally find them for a pretty reasonable price. Check you are getting the UK version, though, as the US region one doesn't work with UK controllers. 1
DalekSec Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 Contacted their support, turns out all Ruckus indoor APs have a lifetime warranty, even out of support looks like they will replace them!

You can telnet to them and change the country code with a command, its what we did when we bought some US ones off eBay a couple of years back. 1
Asgard Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Bit late to the thread but if you need any we have 4 x 7363 3 x 7341 1 x 7343 In fact in about two months we will have a shed load of the R500/R710/7982 (around 60) as we’re moving to Extreme Networks WiNG
Net-Ctrl Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Out of interest why the move to Extreme? All that Ruckus kit is still good and supporting latest firmware versions etc.

All that Ruckus kit is still good and supporting latest firmware versions etc. We have been using Ruckus since 2009 but when we went to look at a new wireless refresh for one of the schools in our trust (Meru) the Ruckus subscription was all over the place due to the buyout etc and we couldn’t get a straight answer so we went with WiNGs subscription which is very cost effective for us so it’s just a natural progression. I honestly don’t think we would ever move from Ruckus having previously been a case study site but I’m majorly impressed with what I’ve seen WiNG do at our other site, Well apart from it’s interface

I hope the WiNG solution does what you need of it, I don't think it's one that we have come against yet. If you did have any questions over the Ruckus kit so you can make use of it at another site, would be a shame to see it go to waste, feel free to send me a PM and I will try to help.

It was Ruckus direct. We seemed to have a bat phone to an account manager directly in Ruckus which helped but the swapping of the company seemed to be bad timing for us. If it’s ok I’ll drop you a PM and we can discuss off list ?
