DalekSec Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Recently moved over to iOS, I can't seem to be able to tailor the iOS notifications. I can disable them outright in the iOS but that's about it. When i go into the app -> settings -> Push Notifications, no matter if i have it on or off i can't change any of the 'Notify me when someone' options, all are currently set to disabled (not me it was already set to it). I just want to turn off a notification every time someone responses to a subbed post. App V : 7.1.192(214) iOS: 12.0.1 (just seen updated for 12.1 gonna do that now) 1
ZeroHour Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 So your app install defaults were all disabled for push notifications but notifications still come through?
DalekSec Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 So your app install defaults were all disabled for push notifications but notifications still come through? Yes, E.g i've just got a notification for your reply even though in the app settings push notifications are turned off and all are disabled. 1
ZeroHour Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Can you attach a screenshot of your push area.
ZeroHour Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Try turning on push at the top but leaving them disabled. It seems to be working for me but I am on a slightly newer build right now.
DalekSec Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Changed, Push Notifications on, all disabled. I've updated to iOS 12.1 and it's still happening also. (Before doing the changed you asked for)
elsiegee40 Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Have you tried turning it off in the iOS notification settings as well as the app? Settings > notifications > EduGeek
DalekSec Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Have you tried turning it off in the iOS notification settings as well as the app? Settings > notifications > EduGeek I haven't but, but that's because i am still wanting PMs and mentions to come through. I didn't get a notification for your reply so looks like turning it on as blocked all notifications from the App but i still can enabled/disable any in the list.
DalekSec Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Scrap that, i just got a notification from a subbed thread
ZeroHour Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 I downgraded to the live version but everything seems to be working for me, when I turned reply notifications off I have got no notifications for replies. Possibly try logging out, restarting the app and logging in again.
DalekSec Posted November 7, 2018 Author Posted November 7, 2018 Did as you said, still doing it, tried it with push notifications on and off. Still unable to change the settings below from disabled, Could it be down to iPhone model?
