HI all,

Our school is getting an official opening ceremony in June so somebody up high sent some pics off to an outside agency and in return for £100 they received a dvd with a slide show with titles and music!

Now I can knock up a slideshow with idvd on a mac which would take 10 minutes but would not be quite as nice as the transitions were quite swanky.

What would edugeekers recommend to use for this task so we can keep our £100 in future!

Thanks

Done some in MovieMaker that were all right. Just remember to get a picture slideshow setup file to get the right compression (or somethign like that). Otherwise PowerPoint. OR if not worried about sound the built-in slideshow thingy of XP

DVDSlideShowGUI - depends how 'swanky' the pro transitions were though...

DVDslideshowGUI

This looks like a winner to me!

I neglected to say that the resultant show needed to be played through a DVD player. This looks like a good start.

I did try premiere elements this morning but the results were a bit rubbish.

But as the saying goes sh*t in, sh*t out

I'd definitely want to do something like this in house and probably get kids involved as well - if you're trying to show off the school then I think you should be showing off how good the kids are!

In reality, it will probably cost more than £100 worth of time to do it but if everyone learns then it's got to be money well spent!
