Weird IIS6 issue

We have a server running IIS6, called neptune.

 

We wanted to start using Class Server again on this box, so i installed it today, but its doing somthing weird, and i do not understand it.

 

Whilst logged on locally to neptune i can get to

 

http://=http://neptune - i see the website

http://neptune/home - i see our joomla web site

http://neptune/ccsc/student/signin.aspx - i can see the class server site for pupils

http://neptune/ccsc/admin/ - i can see the admin site for class server

 

 

now for the weird one if i go to any other machine on the network i can get to

 

http://=http://neptune] - i see the website

http://neptune/home - i see our joomla web site

http://neptune/ccsc/student/signin.aspx - Internet Explorer just sits there trying to connect

http://neptune/ccsc/admin/ - i can see the admin site for class server

 

ALSO, if i reboot the server, for about the first 30 seconds of the server coming up i CAN get to http://neptune/ccsc/student/signin.aspx from a workstation, then it just goes back to hanging.

 

Why why why why is it doing this silly little trick? Both the server and the client i'm logged on as Administrator. If i can get to it from the server, why can i not get to it from a client.

.aspx requires .NET Framework 2.0. You could try repairing it?

 

All pages fail for me (unless you're in the middle of doing something?)
