One of the great figures in comedy. I always loved listening to him

An absolute genius for comedy and, like a few key others, the reason we have had such fantastic comedy in the UK for the last 70 years.

What a run though. And indeed, it was difficult to watch saturday night telly without seeing him. And even now I'll sit and watch the bloopers from an old series (Red Dwarf, Bottom, Men behaving Badly etc) and they'd often foul up, break character and tell everyone to watch out for that on Denis Norden.

Great shame.
