Hyper V - sharing permissions lost on import

Hi,

 

Imported the fileserver from HV1 to HV2. All seemed to be ok , except today when creating a new user , realised that all the original folder sharing permissions have gone. 1) is this normal? 2) how do I fix it as when I try to manually share the folder it is saying that the folder cannot be shared...
