northeast_technician Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 hi I have word 2016 running on windows 7, when ever a user tries to open an existing document word crashes. If i start a new document then open an existing this works fine. anyone else having this issue? if so how do i fix it?
ZeroHour Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Does the crash log give anything away? What AV are you using? It may be simpler to delete their Microsoft folder from their profiles appdata to see if that fixes it although Outlook may need to be reconfigured as well.

northeast_technician Posted September 11, 2018 Author Posted September 11, 2018 deleting the micorsoft folder seemed to cause extra problems so i wont do that on another account
