genesis Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Hi I have many PDF documents located in a folder on our file server -shared drive. Each files contain various policies for our school. I would like to create a single PDF file called School Policies, with separate links on it to open every file that is located on the shared folder on the server. This single PDF file with many links will be copied to staff PCs desktops. To test this- On word 2016- I clicked insert- Hyperlink- On the address and put the file path \\ FileServer-a\Policies\Policy1.pdf On the Text to display- Policy1 Saved it as a PDF and when I open the PDF and click the “Policy1 ” link it says: “Security warning “- This document is trying to connect to: file/////fileserver-a/policies/policy1.pdf... Please see the attached snapshot which shows the error. Please let me know as how to stop the security warning from popping when I click the link on the single PDF file. Or is there any other better way to achieve this Any help will be great Thanks in advance.
gh5000 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Think privileged locations should do what you need. https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AppSec/trust.html Note that there's a link to the trusted sites of IE. Therefore you can use GPOs to set the setting.
