Creating access cards in bulk

Up to now we just have staff and 6th Form that have access cards on a net2 system

 

I've just been asked to create cards for Senior, however this will be laborious

 

My usual procedure for users is to just add a user to Paxton net2, Print card, scan card into spreadsheet to convert card number and make a record, add user, add token and paste converted card number into Net2.

 

I'm thinking export AD users, bulk import them into net2, print batch

 

Scan cards into my usual spreadsheet against user name

 

Export users from Net2, link my spreadsheet to the Net2 csv card number field - then import back into Paxton

 

I've had a look at the net2 csv and it seems simple enough

Yep that did it,

 

Export AD users from OU,

Import them into Net2 using the Net2 format (I exported all users to get the general headers and format)

Export users from net2 and trim out the ones you don't want to update so you are left with the users you want to give a card.

Use my MIFARE card number converter spreadsheet and past in the user names with a special column for the number to be imported

Print batch of cards for the group in NET2

Scan printed cards into spreadsheet for each user, special column gets populated.

Copy special column into exported users csv that I downloaded from net2

Import into Net2

 

Bit long winded, but it's saved me quite a bit of time
