Heads Up - Ableton Suite 10

Hey All,

 

Just a heads up. Looks like Ableton renamed their latest suite download from a pkg to .app. When you use munkiimport to pull the application into munki, it just pulls in a .app and half the resources are missing.

 

 

Just renamed the .app from the DMG into a PKG and now Munki has imported it fully with all the addons. Something to watch out for!

Just a heads up. Looks like Ableton renamed their latest suite download from a .pkg to .app. When trying to import into Munki using munkiimport, it just pulls in a .app and treats it as a file copy. This then leaves alot of the resources and folder creation tasks out of the installation.

 

 

To get around this, I renamed the .app file back to a .pkg then imported it into Munki. I can tell it's now imported everything as it took a LONG time to actually import. Hey Presto, everything including Rewire and the directories have been made. Huzzah!

 

Something to watch out for when deploying Ableton 10 using something like ARD and Munki
