Dear all,

Wondering if anyone is working through there DC migrations at all this summer and had any luck migrating a load balanced DHCP,

Basically our setup has two DCs, DHCP is load balanced between the two using failover in Server 2012R2, we want to migrate over to 2016 however trying to figure out the best way of doing so, would it be to break the failover, consolidate into one DHCP server, export and import then setup the failover from scratch or is there something seriously obvious I am missing?

Hope your all having a successful Summer!

Thanks

This is what I have done in the past:

1. Break failvoer

2. Reconfig failover with 1 old and 1 new. leave for a while.

3. Break failover

4. Reconfig with 2 new servers.
