grahamd22 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 To move towards 8103 and avoid having to use LTSB I need a way to not allow the use of searchui as I have com's and run blocked programs yet you can still type gpupdate for example and that is still allowed. Everything regarding removing search has been enabled that I can see in group policy. Blocking searchui makes the icons greyed out on first opening, is it just something the students have to put up with ?
Blue_Cookeh Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Why do you want to block Search UI? That just makes Windows 10 frustrating for everyone. So long as you've removed administrative rights then tools like gpupdate etc are harmless anyway.
