Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help. I would like to configure a "windows wireless captive portal server" it does not have to be on Windows server 2012 it can be any windows server. i'll explain what i am trying to achieve.

I am having a Guest Wifi on multiple Draytek Routers. The routers have an option to enter a "captive portal server IP". The idea is that when a user connects to the Guest WiFi they will have a splash screen which will ask then to login via "Google mail" or "facebook", (This splash screen is configured on the Draytek Router). Then once the user enters their google login or facebook login their device MAC address is to be passed over to the Windows server and kept. This is so if that same user was to connect to another different Draytek router and connect to its guest WiFi they will not need to login using google or facebook as that server will recognise that device by its MAC address.

I am a Network specialist and have no experience in configure servers. Does anyone have a step by step guide on how i could configure this server?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. I have attached screenshots of the Draytek web GUI. As you can see it gives an option to use an "external" auth server and authenticate using MAC address. I just dont know how to configure a Windows server to authenticate using MAC address, so that the user only need to enter their google or facebook detail once and then on any other Draytek routers their device will just connect to WiFi as the windows server will carry out the auth using the MAC address in the background. 2018-07-16 09_58_20-emisnet-hiran Vigor2862 Series.png2018-07-16 09_58_55-emisnet-hiran Vigor2862 Series.png2018-07-16 09_59_21-emisnet-hiran Vigor2862 Series.png2018-07-16 09_59_57-emisnet-hiran Vigor2862 Series.png
