Has anyone had any problems in the last few days? One of our staff has a school gmail account, and a local authority Outlook account. She has a forward setup from Gmail to the local authority and reads all her emails in Outlook

This worked great until 9am yesterday, when the emails starting bouncing. We can send email directly from her gmail to outlook, but the fowarded emails are all bounced.

I've looked in Gmail and it appears to me that this is a problem at the council's end, but of course, they believe it's on our gmail side, so we are at an impasse.

I've attached a screen shot, can anyone tell me what they think, gmail problem or local authority?

Is the mail being forwarded automatically from her mail box?

Mabye the council have set up a transport rule to block auto-forwarded mail inside their org but mixed up the sender receiver settings...

This is the rule office 365 suggests you add to prevent email being automatically forwarded.

Yes, it is an automatic forward. I also have one and mine is fine, so it's not a generic rule against all auto-forwarding.

I've given her email address an alias, and that seems to have resolved it but I would have liked to work out what was causing it.
