Onsite IT Support Technician x 2 - Circa £18k Staffordshire

We are looking for Onsite IT Technicians based in Staffordshire. Options for Term Time or Full time - 37 hours a week.

 

This post is required to develop, install and provide technical IT support to schools and other educational establishments. The post is to be responsible for supporting the network infrastructure, admin and curriculum ICT networks. The post holder will be required to support these systems by telephone, remote access and site visits.

You may also be based in one school depending on location and contracts.

Responsibility

Commercial:

· Keep abreast of developments in Information, Communication and Audio Visual Technologies particularly looking for innovative and efficient ways to improve services and develop systems used in the school environment.

Knowledge:

 

• To resolve problems relating to networks, PC hardware and software in schools by telephone, remote support or site visit.
  

· To deliver onsite training where applicable to teaching staff on new and emerging technologies ie Office 365, G-Suite

· To develop, install and support Schools’ ICT systems and network infrastructure at both server and desktop level

 

Essential Skills:

 

• Proven experience in a related role
  
• Full working knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems
  
• Ability to offer specialist support in other Microsoft products (Exchange, SharePoint, etc)
  
• Proven ability to successfully motivate self and others
  
• Committed to customer focused service delivery
  
• Clear written and oral communication skills for any audience
  
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  
• Committed to working flexibility to cover the duties of the service
  
• Ability to build successful customer and supplier relationships
  
• Professional approach with a positive attitude to delivering high quality work
  
• Experience of RM Networks, CC4
  
• Good knowledge and installation experience of Microsoft Server operating systems
  

 

Desirable Skills:

· MS HyperV and VMware experience, installation and Support

· Network Infrastructure experience, HP Switches

· MIS knowledge eg Sims.NET
