dpm remote management

Hi all does anyone know how to upgrade dpm 2012r2 remote management on a client workstation? i ran it initially from the cd to install on the work station but since this is a fairly old install and losts of subsequent updates since the cd was issued the remote admin tools won't connect to our dpm servers so i need to bring the remote admin up to date as per https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh859552.aspx

 

except it gives no instructions..
