Data Administrator (SIMS/Parent Pay/SQL) – Cambridge

up to £26,800 depending on experience, plus benefits package.

Full time position - 37½ hour week with 6 weeks annual leave (plus bank hols).

Our client, a highly respected school in Cambridge with an exceptional Ofsted report require an experienced SIMS Data Administrator to join their IT Department.

 

As the Data Administrator, your main duties will include:

· Managing the academic reports and working with the Deputy Heads and Director of Studies to setup and administer various reporting sessions.

· Setting up the report templates for staff and parents.

· Updating process guides to assist with the training of other staff.

· Importing pupil baseline data into SIMS and running various year end procedures.

· Managing the input of internal exams, predicted grades and UCAS comments into SIMS.

· Working with other departments to create basic reports and extract data from SIMS.

· Supporting other modules including Fees, Cover, Census Returns and Behaviour Management.

· Working with the timetabling team to import data (e.g. pupils options).

· Adding/editing departmental content within the school intranet

· Managing the data synchronisations and support of 3rd party applications including Parent Pay, Library Software and Parent Portal.

· Support users in the use of various applications including Word, Excel and Survey Monkey etc.

· Provide training guides on specific applications for users.

· Day to day management of the media platform (Planet eStream)

 

 

To be considered for this position, you will have:

· Experience of working in a similar position in a school or college, ideally with SIMS.

· An understanding of database fundamentals.

· Good grasp of web design fundamentals.

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical matters.

· Knowledge of SQL / macros and experience of providing training is highly desirable.
