Control Panel > Default Programs > Set Your Default Programs

See how Firefox says it has 4 of 8 defaults. When I click on Set this program as default, it says This program has all its defaults (and my PC works correctly).

Does anybody know how to set this either via a login script or GP? I thought a call to dism.ex in my login script might have done it, but apparently not.

Thanks in advance.

I think it's in Prefs>CP Settings>Folder options>Open with. Just check what the 8 extensions Firefox opens are and add 'em in.

Pretty sure there's a way to set whatever you want as your default browser, but it may not set all the file associations you want.

Add the following lines to your default associations configuration file if you want to make Firefox the default browser on a per-computer basis. This will set all eight defaults.

If however you want to make Firefox the default browser only for specific users or groups of users you will need to use a third-party app called SetUserFTA or SetDefaultBrowser.
