peej2k Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Hi all, Is there an easy way in SIMS Reporting to generate a report where it creates a column per lookup field and whether they have been ticked or not? Currently when I'm creating the report I'm just getting a comma list of all the permissions which isn't exactly useful! 2
jdsa Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Routines > Student > Bulk Update > Group Type: Year Group; Group: All; Data Item: Parental Consent > Search > Print It comes out as a CSV file. 3
bobsmith Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Or you can add the parental consent sub-reports and filter each to show just one permission. You get the same thing but with the added bonus of adding whatever extra fields you may require. Just doing mine now - doing the fun bit of cross referencing against form group/year group and sizes to identify those we need to chase up and those where we think the parent got confused and ticked the wrong box. 1
Clumpy Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Thanks for the info on this thread, its helped me massively... can you elaborate on adding sub reports? Please?
bobsmith Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 So start a brand new report - data area: student add whatever identifiers you want, first name/last name etc then find the parental consent in the reporting tree and expand it, inside you'll see a blue box called "parental consent" - add as many of those as you have different consents. On each you will then double click them to get a menu at the bottom of the screen where you can filter that blue box. - this is a subreport! shout if you need more help.
Clumpy Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Thank you for this. I'll have a go at it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I've got this setup as subreports, but it's printing 'Photo Permission', 'Trip Permission' and I'd like it to just print 'Yes' if the permission has been granted. Is that possible?
