WDS using with MDT

Hi,

 

is it possible to add more than 1 install image on WDS?

 

I have 2 machine types that I want to customise images for and deploy using MDT. But I am only able to put one install image onto WDS.

 

I have created a second image group - and am going to try that but just wanted a few tips in advance.

You shouldn't need another group to do that, you can just add multiple install and/or boot images and then pick from the menu

When I tried to add another image it overwrote the existing one.. so not sure where I went wrong - I made sure it had a different name

if you look at the files unless you group them it does only end up with 1 wim file and "differencing files" to save on storage space i think but using straight wds isnt something ive done for a while

 

out of curiosity if you are usinm mdt you only need a boot image in wds (and mdt creates that itself) you dont need any install images there mdt stores them
