Windows 10 1709

Office 2016

 

I'm having an issue with users in our Windows 10 OU trying to load any hyperlink from any office 2016 product, be it an email, a word doc etc. They are present with the following error message;

Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk.

 

I've trailed through the internet, and on Edugeek, and have applied every solution possible, (example: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/310049/hyperlinks-are-not-working-in-outlook) but still no luck.

Interestingly, if I remove our Run only specified Windows applications gpo, the hyperlinks are fine. I've run monitoring software against a user with no restictions and have enabled any exe that was flagged up in the process...still doesn't work.

 

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

I'd start by looking at your Office 2016 policies, probably around trusted sites/security, what have you set there?
