Do any schools generate SIMS ID logins for staff/parents or students? How is the process? I notice that parents can log in to SIMS Parents App with a SIMS ID but not in to SIMS Agora, so have Capita now abandoned SIMS ID? I've not noticed any third party sites using it either even the ones that use other SSO options like Firefly. Any thoughts?

I was told that you can't use SIMS ID to log into parent app and that you must use one of the other providers.

The SIMS Parent login page suggests that they can use SIMS ID to log in.

Who am I to believe, Capita or a random person on the internet? Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that.

The email I got mentioned existing SIMS ID users could log in but didn't mention anything about registering as a new user so maybe they are phasing it out and passing the responsibility onto the big providers for usernames and passwords?

There's 2 versions of the login page that seems to detect who is viewing it, as one has 6 icons one has 5 ironically No idea which is the "normal" one vs "admin" one but seems like there is confusion either side

I've seen on SIMS own guides not to use the SIMS ID

 

 

There's also another login screen with an extra option of "other email service". I saw it with my own eyes!
