Boredguy Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Since yesterday morning (8th May) we noticed that the users who have changed their password have not had it sync across to RM Safetynet (but it shows as being ok in Unify) which meant several staff and students had no internet access. Support have been as helpful as a chocolate teapot with "I'll get back to you in an hour" and it took a lot of effort to get some sort of reason as "its happening to everyone". So I was wondering if anyone else experienced the same issue since yesterday as a check at 8am this morning still shows account details have not synchronised and status pages all claim to be working fine. Should mentioned this was via the SWGfL, but if anyone on another ISP had similar issues would be interesting
Steve21 Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Looks like they broke their Unify usernames/logins "2018/05/08 00:01:01.980",4,"*** RM Unify upload timer",FATAL,"PerformWork","Credentials failed for Unify Login *** School (***) to connect to https://api.platform.rmunify.com/unifyprovisioning/identityprovider.svc" Steve
Boredguy Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 See that's the thing, our Sync to Unify is working correctly @Steve21. I even created a new account yesterday and that is happily appearing in Unify just not in blasted safetynet so I've had to create a new GPO setting to force the staff I know who changed their password yesterday back to the standard non user filtering so they can access their e-mail today.
Steve21 Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Did you check the logs on the Unify sync? At least one of the URLs it uses doesn't even seem to load currently, so it wouldn't be syncing up the passwords to that part. Guessing if one part isn't playing ball others aren't probably too Steve
Boredguy Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 Was checking the logs most of the day. Only had credentials failed error after we had left at 16:20, before then all the handshaking was working correctly and data was uploading to that side.
Boredguy Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 Well update is I have to force a app sync via Unify.. however you can only do it once per 24 hours so I have to wait until 10:25 before I can press the button!
