That made me laugh and it's inspection week so please keep the GDPR based jokes coming!!

If i come up with an original GDPR joke what are you going to do with that data? If you decide to share it i will report you to the ICO

Actually, they are happy for me to share their details with others, as it is both part of sharing who work have worked with when demonstrating our steps towards compliance and they are interested in more business, so there is legitimate interest here.

Not really funny but...

 

Abuse inquiry fined £200,000 for email data breach.

 

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has been fined £200,000 after sending a mass email that identified possible abuse victims, the Information Commissioner's Office says.

 

An inquiry staff member emailed 90 people using the "to" field instead of the "bcc" field - allowing recipients to see each other's addresses, it said.

 

The ICO said the incident last year was a breach of the Data Protection Act.

 

The inquiry said it had apologised and reviewed its data-handling.
