Smart Learning Suite Activation problems

Hi,

 

I have been consulting the Administrators guide for Smart Learning Suite 17: http://downloads.smarttech.com/media/sitecore/en/support/product/sls/sls17/guides/saguidesls2017win07sept17.pdf

 

I am having no success with the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Update\activationwizard.exe" application to retrieve activation status, or injecting a new license key to replace an existing expired one. Despite doing a direct copy and paste with switch modifications, I can't seem to make this application to do anything.

 

So far I've tried:

 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Update\activationwizard.exe" --query --format XML --key NC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXX > C:\output.txt

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Update\activationwizard.exe" --puid notebook_17 --m=4 --v=4 --return --pks=NC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXX

 

This is driving me nuts!
