GDPR - Secure file transfer

We have been asked to send a file securely, as a G Suite school would we be able to use Drive to do this? I'm thinking yes, but my brain is addled with GDPR

Yes, Drive is a secure method of transfer. Make sure you double check the recipient is right though.

Is it going to someone inside the GSuite domain or outside? We've locked down sharing outside the school, with whitelists for approved exceptions so the options you have may depend on your configuration.

It's going to someone outside of the domain. I'll have a look at locking down sharing outside of our domain though.

If you are only sending it to someone within your domain can you not just store it on a local network drive rather than uploading it online?
