hardtailstar Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Hi All, We have been asked to look into Google Apps. One of the questions we have is can you sync the network drive within Google apps and sync it so the version online is the same as the version on the network drive. Thanks in advance
mjk Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Sort of, it replaces the network drive with a "G" drive using file stream. 1

Your post remindd me to check Insync - looks like the new version is out that supports Team Drives: https://www.insynchq.com/ I plan to install this and see how well it works.
TwistedHelixis Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 We use File Stream at most of our schools and its been very reliable. I use backup and sync on the data server to move everything to Google Team Drives and File Stream to map a drive to all teachers laptops, it great.
FN-GM Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Like others have said you can map a network drive using File Stream. I have a powershell script (help from another EG member) that I will be posting soon that will allow you to migrate your home areas if you wish.
