Endeavour MAT is a relatively recently formed Multi Academy Trust (MAT) made up of two well-established grammar schools in Wilmington, Kent (Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ and ‘good’) and a new Secondary School due to open in September 2019. We are passionate about providing quality learning and education and have created this new post in order to support the development of MAT wide IT provision to facilitate the highest standards of both teaching and management.

 

The Trust is looking to migrate from RM Community Connect to a vanilla Windows environment, establish a MAT wide approach to corporate services and access to files and systems as well as building depth of knowledge and skill base within its in-house IT Teams. This will involve you in an exciting time of change and development.

 

Joining our central MAT team, you will oversee both the long-term and operational management of all our IT resources, and ensure effective service provision across multiple sites. This will involve shaping policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement and preparing an annual resources development plan to inform our IT maintenance and renewal programme. In particular, you will lead far-reaching change, take ownership of network security challenges and ensue we enjoy best value in operating systems, telecommunications, networks and desktop support.

 

You will have experience of developing and implementing IT strategies and infrastructure and will be fully versed in several of the following: servers and virtualisation, end point desktop operating systems and software, switches, WAN, WiFi networks, SANs, routers, firewalls and telephony.

 

The IT Teams across the two existing schools within the Trust consist of three senior IT Technicians and one IT Technician. There will be an opportunity for the Head of IT to assess the distribution of responsibilities within the IT Teams.
