Having debates in school about the 2, have NSS trial in one room at the moment and we love it and want it, have the cash for it but as always my network admin boss was at recent conference where some idiot from another school told him how good AB was and how much cheaper it was...... anyone got any good and bad points about either to help put my case forward to have NSS :)

Also, something else, hope netsupport bloke can answer, looked everywhere and cant find an answer...... is there anyway that a teacher can be in control of classroom but overall, us as techies, can view the same as the teacher across the domain...?? any ideas

Sorry to spoil your cunning plan, but ABtutor can do this.

Netsupport can do that yes, that how we have it setup. You will need to make a configuration to an ini file to do so. With group policy you can also make sure the teacher can only view her class.

Call netsupport for the configurations im not sure what they are.

We havge just trialised this software and I have been so impressed with this.

We were using some software from a company called Sanako which was study 100. This does so much more than sanako ever did.

Very impressed, just placed an order for 6 licenses, each costing only £110. Very cost effective. similar solutions were coming in at 1k+.

i particularly like the feature where an administrator could login from the teacher machine with a generic account and then send a command to install some software or any command.

This is very useful for us administrators!

I did find out a very cool function which is the capture button which..

Takes a screen shot of the computer and in the title bar has the user name and user code time date and computer name. and also has it included in the picture so that there can't be any misstakes.
