[ms office - 2016] Flashing software?

Hello all!

 

Found a weird issue with Office 2016. At first, the calendar in outlook just blinks a few times- I presumed it was refreshing, but now its 'blinking' for longer and and more frequently. It only happens on month view

 

I have now had a report of it happening on Microsoft Excel- wondering if its an issue with an update potentially?

 

Any thoughts welcomed!

This is an issue dating way back to October 2017- It was created by Microsoft and they just havent bothered fixing it yet. The problem I was experiencing was made worse by a WSUS server crashing, thus it was putting more load on office and making them flash more
