This post offers an exciting opportunity to join Digital Campus Services (DCS). The Systems Engineer role sits within the Digital Learning team, providing technical support for desktop deployment, basic server and network connectivity, physical and virtual desktop resources and mobile devices

 

The post holder must have a variety of technical skills in desktop deployment via Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), basic networking, centralised storage, user authentication, licence control and the ability to deal with a variety of issues on Microsoft Windows and Apple based resources.

 

The post is required to maintain and develop systems and operational workflow processes and provide clear and concise documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders if required. The post provides an important source of support and advice for staff and students in the operational delivery of the ICT and specialist resources.

 

The postholder will join a team of System Engineers in the delivery of a proactive service for students and staff. The successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge and experience to provide flexibility and developments in existing and new systems to enable greater provision within Digital Campus Services.
