torincsuf Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Looking for a way to disable popup blockers or add our campus website to a exception list for Chrome/Safari. Looking for either a terminal command(through ARD) or a file I can push out with ARD. I've been trying to get Google Chromes master_preference file to work but had no luck. These computers are in a lab environment. The method will hopefully apply to all users.
free780 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 I managed to push settings via a plist via profile manager for Chrome. https://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3
Arthur Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 You can set Chrome and Safari preferences on a Mac using a .plist or configuration profile (.mobileconfig). www.moof-it.co.uk/technical/managing-google-chrome-on-macos-with-a-config-profile It's also possible to convert a .plist to a .mobileconfig using mcxToProfile.
