Broken linky. Says it's been removed.

I've been trying some more. I was out taking photos of a car club so decided to shoot some video while i was there as well. The thing i'm struggling with at the minute is frame rates and shutter speed etc. It's a whole different bag of numbers to get my head around! :confused:

@Mr Mat new link...

Yeh, frame rates are a pain, ND filters can be handy to keep the shutter double the frame rate if you still want a shallow DOF

So my Girlfriend has rallied the troops and they (and some cash from myself) have all clubbed together to get my a Mavic Air for my birthday!!

Because I'm a child I convinced them to let me have a look inside the box but not allowed to play with it until next week :(

Awesome!! Fingers crossed you get the weather to play. They take an hour or to setup firmware wise and get the settings to your liking. Beginner mode lasted about 90 seconds before i turned it off. :)

This was all I was allowed... :peep:

Yeah hopefully the weather is kind! I've booked a few days off work so I can go out and play.

I'm a complete Noob though so i think the beginner mode might stay on for a short while, until i get brave anyway. Adding it to my Camera equipment too just in case.

@Mr Mat you can get Free PL insurance if you join the BMFA its £35 a year to join and you get the PL as part of it. My Camera policy wouldn't cover drone insurance but that was with Hiscox for my photography business. Also look at the NATS app and UAV Forecast App too. You'll soon be getting a flymore pack and some Polar Pro filters too lol... Slippery slope.

I wouldn't recommend trying to fly it inside either..... :)

Been a little while so figured it was time for an update.

The Mavic Air is absolutely epic, so so impressed with it. I've been getting out at ever occasion to get some flights in and bloody loving it. Probably been out 15 odd times with it this month :o

It's a brill piece of kit and so easy to fly. Few first flights were steady but then my confidence started to grow and was zipping around in Sport Mode in no time.

The best thing I didn't expect was that it makes me want to go see new places and to go explore local areas I've never bothered to venture into until now.

Anywho, here's my fav vid so far taken from this past weekends trip over to see family in the Isle of Wight:
