WSUS mis-reporting?

Hi,

I need some advice as to whether wsus is mis-reporting or if I have a different problem. I have the 2018-01/2018-02/2018-03 security monthly quality rollup updates approved for my 2008r2 servers, however the last one that installed was the 2017-12 update. All said servers are reporting in to the console and claim to be up to date and say the more recent update(s) are not applicable.

I've just manually downloaded and installed the 2018-03 security monthly quality rollup to one of the servers so I'm not sure as to why it would be reporting not applicable.

Have I missed something that needed to be done after the 2017-12 update? Any ideas please?

Has your antivirus program set the following registry key?

 

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4072699/windows-security-updates-and-antivirus-software

 

It was a prerequisite for the Jan/Feb updates.

Wierd, Im getting a large number of clients ignoring the 2018-03 update despite having the correct reg key. Ive got a few hundred clients with sophos on, the key is there yet only a handfull have installed the update.
