boomam Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Hi. I just got a new HDD for my diagnostic laptop. Its existing drive is a 40Gb split up into 4 partitions (windows, swap, temp, data). Ive been trying image it to a USB drive, and then reimage that back to the new 160Gb drive. But im having no end of problems. First Ghost wont pick up the USB drives, even though it used to. And second, it keep crashing out when i try imaging to the network! Ideas?
boomam Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 Yes. It appears to be a problem with the laptop that im trying to do it on, i wacked all the drives into a normal system and ghost picks everything up. Then in the process of cloning back to the new 160Gb, i didnt realise that the 160Gb drive i was temporarily using to store the image, the drive with lots of my work and whatnot on, was wiped! :-o . Luckily, i dont think, theres nout on there that i need. Hopefully. .
