Linux newbie here. Very new to it all.

Got a server I need to look after that has Ubuntu and Virtualbox on it. I'd like to back up the virtual Machines in VirtualBox. Whats better cloning or snapshots?

Once I have made the copy what's the best way of getting them safely off the computer and how do I go about it? Thanks in advance.

There is something that you should know about Veeam agent - it provides file-level consistent backup, no app.consistent. If you have some sensitive application that requires transaction-consistency running inside the base OS (Ubuntu), you might need to utilise some pre-backup scripts in order to prepare the app for backup. I'm quite familiar with the product, so feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks
