Ryan Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 (edited) As above. Trying to eek some life out of my aging PC while not splurging for lots of new bits. Someone may have one of these lying about. Picked up a Pentium D, gonna clock the arse out of it. Need something to plug it (& AGP video card and DDR400 RAM) into. ...or a cookie to anyone who knows where i can find one in Interwebland... PeterW Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Planetmicro have got some Gigabyte ones on clearance for about £20 Thats an AMD board if the model number is correct, should say skt 754 also spec could be wrong.
kmount Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Depends how much you want to spend but the ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA would probably not be a bad buy it has both AGP/PCI-E AND both DDR1/DDR2 sockets. Seems a bit tricky to get hold of but appears available here.

Yer, model number is wrong, should be GA-8VM800M-775. It's definitely the 775 board though. 775 linky @kmount: I tried to get that board from eBay but was pipped last minute - grr. (no internet at home as i've just bought a new place). Ordered over the phone from PlanetMicro, thanks for the help folks. Edited April 9, 2008 by Ryan linking issues
Ryan Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Little update: The board arrived this morning, Special Delivery. Ordered over the phone yesterday, very quick! Their website broke halfway through my order, but they're lovely people to deal with over the phone
