mikkydoos Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Watch out for KB4088881. See the known issues. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4088881/windows-7-update-kb4088881 Why on earth do they release these ?? 2
DJ-1701 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Remind me, why do we install updates again? I thought it was to fix problems, but obviously this isn't the case.
themightymrp Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 "IP address settings are lost after applying this update." Seriously?? This is a patch they actually want to release??! I'd have kept this one in the lab for a bit more beta testing!
FN-GM Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 If you're on DHCP you should be ok. I guess most Windows 7 machines are.
themightymrp Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 True, the chances are it won't really affect anything her. But still, why not get that issue fixed before you release the patch?
fiza Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 What about this bit? After applying this update, a new Ethernet virtual Network Interface Card (vNIC) may be created with default settings in place of the previously existing vNIC, causing network issues. Any custom settings on the previous vNIC are still persisted in the registry but aren't used. We have a vNIC on each machine for VirtualBox.

I'd have kept this one in the lab for a bit more beta testing! Its already released. Declined on my WSUS this afternoon !
