Data Manager (SIMS) – Central London, W1 * URGENT *

up to £25,600 (depending on experience), Term Time + 2 weeks

Our prestigious client, who operate a network of highly successful independent schools and colleges are looking to employ a SIMS Data Manager to join one of their school teams, based in Central London.

 

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of managing a school’s database and possess the ability to delivery good quality training and support to staff.

 

 

The main duties of this role will include:

 

  • Acting as the primary strategic data officer for all aspects of SIMS.
  • Developing and managing the use of SIMS within the school.
  • Ensuring school systems for recording, monitoring and reporting are up-to-date.
  • Managing the staff, student and assessment data.
  • Ensuring parental access to data through the web portal is managed in line with school policy.
  • Working with the Admissions Registrar to ensure new student data is promptly and accurately included in the system.
  • Working with SENCO and ensuring relevant SEN information is recorded in SIMS, available to staff, identified on mark sheets and linked to appropriate ILP.
  • Working with the Finance Officer to establish and run an electronic payments system.
  • Downloading MidYIS and ALPS data.
  • Running target setting modules to generate predicted grades for Years 9 – 13 students and ensuring the predictions are entered into all staff mark sheets for relevant students.
  • Producing Individual Student Profiles for Years 7 and 12 for use by relevant Heads of Year.
  • Managing, in conjunction with the Examinations Officer the electronic exam entry and results access procedures.

 

Skills / Requirements :

 

  • Previous experience managing a school’s database (ideally SIMS).
  • Experience resolving application and database issues.
  • Confident manipulating figures and data.
  • Experience providing training and support to staff.
  • Extensive knowledge and SIMS (Core Suite, Assessment & Reporting, Curriculum Management, Nova T6, Registration and Admissions, Examinations, InTouch, Teacher App, Activities and Fees Billing).
  • Advanced expertise in Excel.
