newpersn Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 How easy it it to setup one drive to upload user areas? Just thought i'll ask as just been talking about it in the office (for backup and off site working...)
Blue_Cookeh Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Use the OneDrive group policies and make sure you're using Windows 10 1709 or higher across your estate. You can configure OneDrive to store files online by default (for IT suites etc where space will get eaten up) and force OneDrive into a specific directory in the user profile. You can then use Folder Redirection to redirect profile folders into OneDrive.

adamsund Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Do you mean to transfer user's network areas to their OneDrive's? If so, the SharePoint migration tool is what you're looking for. https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/how-to-use-the-sharepoint-migration-tool-65462df1-42fe-40cf-88f7-e39f82f5130f?ui=en-US&rs=en-GB&ad=GB

adamsund Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 How do i go about that? I’m not sure what you want to know. All the instructions are in that link. Download the tool here: https://hrcppestorageprod.blob.core.windows.net/migrationtool/default.htm, then it’s just a case of logging in with admin details, fill in the csv file and away you go.

mariohi Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 You are looking for this: O365Migrator | Liebensraum and this OneDriveMapper | Liebensraum
adamsund Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 You are looking for this: O365Migrator | Liebensraum and this OneDriveMapper | Liebensraum Not the migrator tool. The author himself admits that the tool I suggested negates the need for his. New Sharepoint Migration Tool | Liebensraum
mariohi Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 @adamsund Have you tried to use the new Sharepoint Migration Tool? Comments under the article you posted: "MS should have consulted you. Their tool sucks, even for a beta. Yours is a life saver. Keep up the great work!" "They released half of it. They don’t pre-prevision nor assign permissions. Their tool is not complete! Please continue to support O365 Migrator!"

I've also used Lieben's tools in the past to good effect previous to the Microsoft tool.
MS2011 Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Has anyone using one drive as backup for the shared folders on the network?
