What is running?

Hey all again,

 

I used to have some software (many moons ago) that was freeware. What it did was tell you exactly what was being run when you run an application (i.e. this text file was loaded or this dll was used).

 

The problem I have is I can't remember what it is called and have no idea what search terms to use.

 

Anybody come across this before?

For complete'ness sake there is also regmon which does the same except for the registry instead of files.

Or Procmon if you want to combine them.

and procexp - this is particularly good for doing things like letting you know what command line launched a program (eg when it's spawned by something else)

There's also hootsmon, for when you need to analyze the contents of your haggis.
