O365 OneDrive file to open in an Office Product (Word/Excel)

Hello to all.

We are having a bit of a problem with either O365 or Office Apps but I don't know which.

We are a RM school and we are using RM Unify to get in to Office 365 One Drive Account. I know you might say it's RM which may be the case but I can get to my OneDrive stuff and open it up in the web browser (Chrome - latest version).

When I click on the 'Edit document in' option, up pops a few Windows about are you sure etc.. and then (for instance) Excel opens up.

I have had 3 things happen so far on different machines in my office:

1 - It opened up Excel and all was well with the world.

2 - It tells me that I need to enter in my Username and Password for O365 and then tells me that you cant do that with this account and won't open the document.

3 - It tells me the server is temporarily down and won't open the document.

One of my machines in my office always works with any account that logs on to it. If I then log on with an account that worked on the 'working machine' on another machine in my office, I will get either 2 or 3.

It seems to be machine related but then also why would it tell me that my O365 account will not do this when it clearly does on a 'working machine' in my office or that the server is down?

Hoping that this makes sense to someone with an answer.

Thanks in advance,

Gareth :)
