Hello,

My personal Macbook Pro has a single dead pixel in the middle on the screen. Do you know if apple will repair this under warranty please? Years ago when the problem was more common there has to be a number of them before companies will fix it. With it being less of a problem now I am wondering if this still stands?

Thanks

I'd start a web chat with their support. Have a few photos of the dead pixel ready to send through. It seems that display anomalies for in-warranty devices do not get fixed even if seen by the technician, unless you have specifically asked for it to be sorted.

Screen bleed on my iPad mini four was fixed under warranty, at the second attempt, the first time they returned it saying they couldn't spot the error the second time I drew on the screen in whiteboard marker and it got sorted. :)

Think they're still multiple pixels for a macbook :(

I’ve heard that sometimes this will depend on location. If it is in a place that is obvious and will catch your attention often, I believe they will consider a fix even if it is fewer than the threshold.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't reported it as yet. I haven't had chance. I plan to do it later in the week, maybe Thursday.
