MatthewL Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I keep reading conflicting information on this and want to know if anyone has successfully achieved it. I have a shared mailbox within O365, I can create a profile in Outlook so that only that mailbox opens ok, for user details I use mine. So with that theory tested I want to add the shared mailbox to my phone, I read various articles online that say you can do it but I cannot get it working, has anyone achieved this? I don't want to convert the mailbox to a standard user and do it that way as I will have to license another user where the way I have it work except I cannot get the mail on the go. Any advise on this one? Thank
Accura2k7 Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Apparently, you have to add the shared mailbox in Outlook online, I however have not managed to do this successfully which is very annoying. If you figure it out, please tell. Sorry can't help any other way!
vortex999 Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 As far as I know you can only do this with the "OWA" mobile app. Add the shared mailbox through the web browser first and then login to the mobile OWA app and the account should be there also.
RobD Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I followed this guide: 365 – Shared Mailbox on a mobile device | Tech Blog
MatthewL Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 Thanks will have a look at that guide later.
