Dell Monitors - stands not always included

The joys of companies trying to cut costs - Dell UltraSharp U2414H monitors don't seem to come with bases any more... May not affect education buyers much, but we normally go for them due to the height adjustable stand, HDMI and DP connection, and the fact that all our monitors are dell. It kind of annoys me a bit, as the monitors quick code hadn't changed, and kind of defeats the point of monitors really. Now I wouldn't mind too much if it was IEC leads they weren't putting in the box, but on a £200 monitor, the stand would be something that you would expect.

So the stand's now an optional extra?! Watch out as next time they wont include a power button and that will be a spare part only available in countries near the Bermuda Triangle...

you joke about no power button but the latest smartboards dont have one just an active standby that if someone walks infront of the board wakes it up again the only off switch is the wall

You have always been able to buy them without the stands, they are designed to work with docking station stands and the ones below. Are you sure you have been sent the right thing?
