I've set up google cloud sync to sync from AD to google, however i have existing users which i have manually created in the admin console.

I have clicked the test sync button and for accounts which already exist I get the following message for each user which already exists.

Modify user 20: "[email protected]

Change stored non-address primary key to "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Does this mean that any existing users will get their password updated to that within AD?

or how will the sync affect existing users an their documents?

Thanks.

The primary key is the link between ad and Google that the sync on that server makes. Nothing to do with the users password.

I recently changed sync servers and all my primary keys changed. Look out for other changes but that one is nothing to worry about.

This ^^

It is designed to link the 2 systems so it will know that an account renamed on Active Directory is not a new account and needs to be renamed on GSuite.
